Scientific Design LLC is a leader in EO/EG process technology and catalyst development as our innovation in catalyst development impacts the lives and wellbeing of people across the globe.

SynDox® ethylene oxide catalysts offer the highest performance available to aid our clients in meeting their operating targets and maximizing profitability across a variety of operating conditions.

Our focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility is exemplified in our SynDol® Dehydration Catalyst which use renewable raw materials to produce ethylene as part of the ethanol dehydration process.

All SD catalysts are produced by experienced manufacturing personnel.

Catalyst development is supported by our Research and Development team, who represent a significant percentage of our total SD team; they have easy access to extensive research assets which allows us to continuously improve our catalyst offerings. 

All Scientific Design catalyst products are ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Scientific Design is dedicated to perfecting clients’ experiences through the delivery of the highest quality technologies, products and services. This quality support is provided beginning with initial contact and continuing throughout the plant lifecycle.

SD provides various technology services including: 

New Plant Design
Each new plant design begins with a customized plan based on a deep understanding of clients’ needs. This model is detailed in the Process Design Package (PDP) and contains all the necessary information for complete technology transfer.

Plant Studies
Scientific Design conducts studies to identify opportunities to achieve clients’ short and long term goals. These studies include; Feasibility Studies, Energy Audit Studies, and maximum Capacity Studies.

Process Optimizations & Sustainability Solutions
In situations where clients are seeking to optimize existing plants to expand performance and increase sustainability, SD can support them in these initiatives by developing customized detailed PDPs.

Operations Support
SD has a long history of providing consistent technical expertise and educational support both onsite and remotely throughout the plant lifecycle. This support includes plant commissioning, plant and catalyst start up, operating troubleshooting, training, and guidelines on technical queries. Experienced operations support personnel are readily available to provide real-time support globally. 

Safety Audits
Safety is a core value at Scientific Design. Safety Audits are a process used to improve safety and efficiency improvements for our clients by identifying and eliminating hazardous work practices.
